I had closed out last week’s episode saying we would skip this week, since my wife and I will be out of town. I knew that would be the case, so I did not schedule a guest for August 2. We will still be out of town (I’ll talk about that in a bit), but I decided we needed to have an episode anyway—keep the flow going, that sort of thing. It’s not that I think the world will not go on without me. It’s more about consistency. It probably matters more to me than it does to you, in other words, but I appreciate our loyal listeners/viewers, and so I want to make sure this happens.
And so, this Wednesday, August 2, we will have the rare solo episode of The Alignment Show. I have recorded it already, and have it cued up to broadcast at the regular time (10 AM Eastern). Since it is recorded, I can even get the audio podcast to post that afternoon as usual.
I’m going to be talking about the importance of community in whatever it is you do. The Alignment Show, of course, focuses on living your values to value your life. I am fortunate to be included in several communities of practice in which people genuinely support each other, and that has been key in my own journey of bringing my life into alignment with my values. In talking about this, I hope to help you in your own reflection about your own communities.
Catch the “live” feed at any of the following three video outlets:
Even though it will actually be a recording, go ahead and add your comments live! I’ll respond as soon as we get back, and other participants can see your comments and respond there. (I’m not going to try to get online during the broadcast, since this will be time I’m focusing on my amazing bride.) You can later use the same links to listen to a replay. You can also find the episode in audio-only form at Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
